The bill is the first to recognize the role school library programs play in student learning since the Elementary and Secondary Education Act (ESEA) was first enacted in 1965.<\/i><\/span><br \/><span style=\"font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;\"><i><br \/><\/i><\/span><span style=\"font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;\"><i>If this bill were to become law, it would reauthorize ESEA.
