Trata-se de uma data simb\u00f3lica para a literatura, j\u00e1 que, segundo os v\u00e1rios calend\u00e1rios, neste dia faleceram importantes escritores como Cervantes e Shakespeare. A ideia da comemora\u00e7\u00e3o teve origem na Catalunha: a 23 de Abril, dia de S\u00e3o Jorge, uma rosa \u00e9 oferecida a quem comprar um livro. Mais recentemente, a troca de uma rosa por um livro tornou-se uma tradi\u00e7\u00e3o em v\u00e1rios pa\u00edses do mundo.<\/span><\/span><span class=\"Apple-style-span\"><span class=\"Apple-style-span\" style=\"font-size: small;\">Em 2010, a DGLB vai articular esta data com o <\/span><\/span><\/span><a href=\"http:\/\/www.2010combateapobreza.pt\/index.html\"><span class=\"Apple-style-span\"><span class=\"Apple-style-span\" style=\"font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: small;\">Ano Europeu do Combate \u00e0 Pobreza e \u00e0 Exclus\u00e3o Social.<\/span><\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;\"><span class=\"Apple-style-span\"><span class=\"Apple-style-span\" style=\"font-size: small;\"> Para tal, concebeu uma campanha intitulada <\/span><\/span><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.iplb.pt\/sites\/DGLB\/Portugu%C3%AAs\/noticiasEventos\/Paginas\/AnoEuropeudoCombate%C3%A0Pobrezae%C3%A0Exclus%C3%A3oSocial.aspx\"><span class=\"Apple-style-span\"><span class=\"Apple-style-span\" style=\"font-size: small;\">Um livro faz-me mais rico<\/span><\/span><\/a><\/strong><span class=\"Apple-style-span\"><span class=\"Apple-style-span\" style=\"font-size: small;\">, em articula\u00e7\u00e3o com as Bibliotecas Municipais.<\/span><\/span><\/span><span class=\"Apple-style-span\" style=\"font-family: verdana;\"><span class=\"Apple-style-span\" style=\"font-size: small;\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;\">Os cartazes que assinalam as duas efem\u00e9rides s\u00e3o da autoria do ilustrador Jos\u00e9 Manuel Saraiva.
